The Krimson and Klover boutique is located a short block from bustling, pedestrian-friendly McKinney Ave and sells fluttering nylon blouses, sorbet-hued jeans and spangly jewelry to the Uptown crowd. Their wares are tempting (I narrowly talked myself out of a beaded, thigh-skimming shift in Roaring 20′s black and gold) and for last Thursday’s Spring into Summer launch, they pulled together an event complete with local businesses partnering to provide bites, drinks, spray tans and lash extensions!
The place was crowded with bargain-hunting, fashion-forward Dallas ladies, sipping complimentary margaritas made with Nectar Girl Margarita Mix (delicious, all-natural and only 69 calories per glass!), snacking on Hank Dessert Bars and putting the fitting room through its paces.
The Hank Dessert Bars were adorable in their little paper liners and cupcakes were provided by Bella Lash Studio. Bella Lash Studio shares the building with Krimson & Klover, operating out of the second floor while the boutique occupies the ground floor. Marlene Hernandez of Bella Lash Studio was in attendance, sporting a set of false lashes that were natural-looking yet striking. Trying her service may be on my must-do list…
The building had once been a stately old home, with lovely touches like the tiny door marked “Office” below, and the Krimson & Klover merchandisers take full advantage of its old-timey loveliness (like they did here with a filmy gown hung in a sunlit window).
There were trendy, over-sized envelope clutches for sale in the back room, and a glittering sandals display on a table opposite.
Bottom line: Krimson & Klover is an on-trend boutique in the lively McKinney Avenue area of Dallas. With reasonable prices and the ability to pull together a great launch event, that’s more than enough to lure me back for the next one!
