
The tasty treats pictured above are called macarons (not macaroons of toasted coconut fame). These Paris transplants may be the new cupcakes in terms of trendy foodie cache, and their scarcity in U.S. bakeries has sparked a crop of DIY blog posts dedicated to creating macarons in the home kitchen.

The evening will feature delicious eats, festive drinks and 10% of proceeds will benefit the families of the participants in the Prison Entrepreneurship Program.
