Thank You

It is the beginning of yet another year, and while I work on my annual, ever-imperfect strategy, I also find myself looking back to what I missed in the roller-coaster that I call the Christmas season.

I have been remiss about formally thanking those whom I have “leaned on” for assistance in community-inspired projects from the previous months.  They are good friends and wonderful supporters.  So here they are, and I hope I do justice to the good that they have done for our community.

In December, The Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce held an auction to benefit its MEED Center.  We are so grateful for the assistance of contributors who donated through Samantha Rose.

Daisy Piantini, for her help with the Irving Symphony Orchestra

Irving Symphony Orchestra

Joseph and Leticia Cuellar, owners of Broadway Bistro Café.  Never a dull moment with Joseph … and when you visit their café, you’ll know what I mean.

Tarsha Polk, our Marketing Lady whose networking events are a must for business owners.

Wendy Mayfield’s Design Dept, whose talent and natural empathy have guided those of us in need of professional help  in the promotion of our businesses.

Handcrafted Pearl Collar

Samantha Rose Designs donated a gorgeous, handcrafted Pearl Collar necklace.

And then, of course, we had a fundraiser at the new Samantha Rose Boutique, located in Old Downtown Carrollton (Historic Downtown Carrollton) for the families of those in the Prison Entrepreneurship Program.  This event would not have been successful without the support of …

Sue Murray, Jana & Dean Valentine of Wimberley Valley Winery.  Jana was especially generous in sending us wonderful wines from their vineyard in Austin.

Rita Belo, our favorite Chef, owner of Succulent Cuisine, my secret to successful events!

Rich Rogers, “cheesemonger” of Scardello Artisan Cheese.  I have never had more delectable bleu cheese, and will have to sample the rest.

As a company, Samantha Rose has been very blessed to have had support from such dedicated professionals.  I am simply grateful to have them as friends.

Holiday Gathering at Samantha Rose Boutique

Last week the Samantha Rose boutique stayed open extended hours for a holiday open house. Ten percent of all purchases benefitted the families of the participants in the Prison Entrepreneurship Program. We’ve written about the Prison Entrepreneurship program before, and the organization appreciates any assistance in rehabilitating the members of our criminal justice program. The weather was chilly and rainy, but inside all was merry and bright as guests shopped for holiday gifts, sipped wines of both red and white varieties provided by event sponsor Wimberley Valley Winery, and sampled inviting hors d’oeuvres by even sponsor Succulent Cuisine and artisan cheeses provided by event sponsor Scardello Cheeses.
