Profiles in Power: Household Kate

The title is perhaps not a fully accurate description for the subject of this post (I can never resist a Shakespeare reference) but surely President Obama’s personal secretary counts as an honorary member of his household. Katie Johnson has been Obama’s secretary since his election and is (among other things) one of the fifteen people who have access to  the Commander in Chief’s Blackberry number. I was scrolling through a photo collection on the New York Times‘ website and stumbled across an intriguing shot of Obama checking his phone in the foreground and a young staffer blurred in the background.
